I think it's quite obvious what this song is about but I just wanted to say that I love Olivia Rodrigo for this. A lot of teenage girls or teenagers in general ( boys can be insecure as well !) go through this phase where they are comparing themselves to people on social media and it's relieving to know that there are other people who go through the same stuff and relating to lyrics. I'm in 9th grade and I can't relate to any of her sad love songs but this song is my jam ( and brutal of course). But furthermore I think it's not only about comparing yourself to other people, I think it could also be something where Olivia wrote on her own experiences, posting pictures with a bikini, with her friends etc. on instagram and showing other people a side of yourself where you know that this isn't you and your jealous of this version because you want to be it in real life too but you can't. Maybe she was going through this kind of stuff I don't know.
