I think the whole meaning of the song is ofc not being satisfied enough with your life. People work, and they work, and they work, towards their dreams. We are told that we just have to work hard and will get there, but no one ever tells us that working to hard for something is bad, or that it's ok to not have this big job.
Not everyone is going to become a lawyer, a singer, a doctor, or whatever their dream job is. It's ok to be a plumber, a low time chef, etc, people with lower jobs, help make a functioning society. Yet, we are told as children and adults, that we can be whatever we want, just reach for our dreams. So that's exactly what people do, and when you fail to get the job want, you feel terrible, bc no one said that there's a chance you may not get the job you want. If you do get the job, your never satisfied, then you have to face the reality that you worked for a job, you probably weren't mentally prepared for anyway, this is evident in jobs like singing and acting, where you are famous, have pressure, and a lot of times have little to no privacy.
