Agh, this brought back a flood of memories I didn't realise I still had from that sun-drenched summer. The enthusiasm, the genuine belief that England could go all the way and win it. I think growing up then spoiled me - thinking it was normal to have so many world-class players in an England team (Ashley Cole, Ferdinand, Terry, Beckham, Lampard, Gerrard, Rooney).
