"Possession" as the title indicates a dominant/subordinate relationship. "Carrion," "prey for me" and "taking over" in the first lines reaffirm that the dominant person has devoured the subordinate, the prey - who was believed herself to be a "wildchild," and whose relationship "brought the house down around her head."

However, in a plot twist, the "fact takes over" revealing the "fiction" of the superior's fondness and "exposing his lies."

Does she leave? The song doesn't go that far, but the dynamic changes! Now the formerly superior person is crying: "I do my crying - Breaking down for you."

I dig the synth and the drums.
