It's basically sung through the eyes of this young woman who has this strong desire to break free from the chains of her upbringing and hometown and find something new. She's "throwing caution to the wind" and has finally decided she needs to take a big risk and pursue her own goals and dreams and "get out of this town, or [she] may just be the one to burn it down". It's really a powerful anthem to inspire that feeling of pursuing your own dreams, no matter what constricting situation you may find yourself in.
