My interpretation is that it's a song about a woman who is in a relationship with a man who is cold, mean or distant, and she just wants to stop trying to please him by acting so demure. She's releasing some of her anger through this song, and she wants to just tell him that she too can be cold, mean and evil. I think it's written in a self critical but triumphant kind of way, through a “women must always be sweet and prim” lens, but condemning our society for that. Rag refers to Ragtime, the rhythm the song has.

Here kitty, kitty, There's too much demon blood, In these self appointed angels (Her and other women have too much fire in their personalities, too much anger to be “proper women” even though they try to be appealing)

Acting like you're comatose, Speaking like a country rose, Or a preacher's pet in drag (Women act dumb or overly innocent to be seen as less threatening.)

Suckin' on an old mans thumb, Man it makes me feel so numb, Gonna teach you how to how to make it feel good (She's sick of just kowtowing to him, she wants to teach him how to please her.)

I'll be your nightmare mirror, Do what you do to me, I'll be your nightmare mirror, Colder than a steel blade (She's going to do to him what he does to her; she's full of pent up agitation and wants to release it.)

Get them while they're younger, Yeah, someone told me that, But man I never saw it commin' (She knows society tries to mould girls to grow into women that will please men, but she didn't realise until now how badly it had affected her too.)

Girl you need some discipline, Girl you need some medicine (A judgement from ‘polite society’ on this woman, maybe even coming from her internal self criticism of her personality.)

Even though my heart is breaking, Never gonna straight you up Oh my god, what's wrong with me, Can't seem to teach you how to make it feel good (She's so unhappy and unfulfilled like this, but she just can't get him to be like she wants him to be.)

Gonna let myself go soon, Man, I'm gonna tear it down, And maybe take my kitty with me (She wants to go crazy, blow up at him, tear down his/society's image of her. As for ‘kitty’, this might be metaphorical, or might mean she's literally going to stop giving him sex.)
