This could be my theme song. I love it because the singer has the self awareness to realize how foolish the world would consider her feelings, but she's basically saying "I don't care...kiss my ass. If I'm a 'fool, I'm a fool.'" I love it. This may be a little deeper than the writer intended, but to me it is about owning our shadow selves. Admitting that we're all basically fools with stupid or wrong emotions, but it doesn't matter. It's about accepting our emotions and not letting them affect our self esteem or self perception, and coming to terms with our identity - the good and the bad.
