People originally said suicide bombers in the forums before the singer clarified and stated it was about some people who were willing to do anything for their beliefs.

Look at the album art. The kids. The "leader" leering over them abusing their power. Think about what religious people are prepared to do anything for their beliefs?

Hint: The illuminated and those who think they are illuminated.

To summarize this is a tribute to those that follow God and those that that Do what thou wilt shall be as the whole of the law. Why it's called the soil song is because it embodies death. When we die our physical bodies go back to the soil and are gone never to be brought back. When a planet dies the physical body is brought back, but in the next dimension in a different form. Soil song represents the song of death of this planet. It ends after we have all made our choices. This song is about the price of the idea of free will, which is death. Because they would rather do it on their terms. That's why the "soil song" or rather earth song is an embodiment to those who leave earth under their own perceived will or those others who evacuate the global catastrophes (bio bombs/war/martial law) that threatens their own home and gather to survive.Different sides of a coin but same intention. To live. That's the paradox, life is in death (this planet) and death is in the belief of permanent death (the body in the soil).

"Future death in your reach Who's first, okay"

If they knew they were lining up to be driven out to their deaths who would volunteer? That's the powerful message of the soil song. No one wants to die. That's what we all have in common. Even though some peoples will prevent them from hearing the message, the universe still gives us all a chance to choose life or death. As everyone has a choice in a planet were all have been granted free will.

Imagine someone is about to board that ship and you tell them "future death is in your reach just board this ship and you'll move towards it much faster... Who's first?" You can't imagine many of them would want to get on board right? Well that pause can be a silence indicating a lack of willingness to leave or a complete disregard for the warning message as they would rather die on their terms sooner than on someone else's later down the track. Either way it's masterfully phrased here because it leaves the question for you to ponder. It's reflecting the choice we have made available to us everyday to make decisions that bring us closer to death or life.

It's the story of earth too as we are close to the third dimension transit where the planet we know and live in dies. (that's why it's in our reach). It's everything and soon it will be nothing. Erased in time. That's why the choice is in this life time (in your reach). Masterpiece track on a masterpiece album. I wonder if those who do what thou wilt will bring this with them to space? It would be rather poetic if they did. Fate does tend to have an ironic twist. Those that choose life through the the acceptance of permanent death will surely die as they manifest their beliefs through their choice. While those who do not fear the eventual death through the acceptance of only life for the rest of the journey after stumbling across this "narrow" path have a chance to live eternally. Would you risk eternal life for your will? Can you look at the extremes. If you can understand where both extremes come from (perhaps you're educated enough to know) then everything I talk about in this song would make complete sense.

Just to clarify on my Hint: I'm telling you it's one of the two. I'm sure the singer left enough clues for you all to figure it out. It's on the album cover art. LEADERS. Do they hide behind masks? is the dream they tell you they believe in true or false? That's how this song ties in with the album. It's written to seem neutral if you're ignorant. But if you're not you know exactly what it's about.
