I believe this song might be about the main character realizing their partner is cheating on them, and now he/she is seeking revenge in the form of something called the 'death horizon' (maybe murder?). Maybe Charles was just messing around or being extremely abstract (as usual). I don't really like to overthink lyrics or art for that matter, but this one I got to build a whole story lol.
1st verse: a couple relaxing at the beach, maybe on a vacation.
2nd verse: the main character realizes that his partner has someone else 'he's coming to you' / 'I'm thankful that he helped me to see'.
3rd verse (chorus): the tone seems to be very sarcastic, or calling out on his partner's lies/cynicism.
4th: the 'death horizon' may be something of a raging feeling coming from above and underneath at the same time.
5th + 6th: the temperature rising might have to do with this uncontrollable rage. 'but what can you do?' might be the character thinking it is now too late to go back.
