The second part of the song, is smooth and warm, he is writing from within one of his nightly opiate highs. "Oblivion" is the opiate high. He's stuck but he's rich enough to take enough to get high enough that it is pleasant and warm.It's a beautiful feeling, but it's deadly, but it feels good in the hard high.
