One of the most beautiful slept on 80's ballads ever written, and Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brother's has quite a few. It's very open, optimistic, yet darkly spun, as it exposes the love of two people in love hopefully for life, as well the life after.
I did a bit of research on the movie that it's a theme song for. As I hoped to get a clearer picture of why it was chosen as the theme song for the movie, "No Mercy" starring Richard Gere & Kim Bassinger. Maybe it was written around the movie, or vice versa. Either way it's a really well crafted song, that's as poignant as it's love laced.

Just my take though...;)
