Breaking Benjamin is a great band. Benjamin Burnley is known for writing songs we can fully immerse ourselves in emotionally and a way to relate to the songs the way we choose to
Breaking Benjamin is not by any means a religious band but they do have some songs that really relate to religion.
Far away on the Aurora album is a great song. It's about the rapture. The day that all of our souls (the faithful ones or religious ones are lifted up to heaven and finally are given peace.
"Cold walk the Earth, love faded wide"
I think this means that all cold souls, emotionless people (bad people) still walk the earth after the (faithful to god people) have been called up to heaven. "Love faded wide" this means that the people who weren't emotionless, the people who loved and cared for one another are faded from earth and guided towards the lights of heaven. At the end of the music video scooter ward is pulled up to heaven through the white light. Benjamin Burnley on the other hand is down below, looking up at him being guided up to heaven.
I think Benjamin Burnley is trying to tell us something here. Maybe there's something that he has done in the past that he feels could result in him being left behind after the rapture. He feels guilty for it.
"Sorrow has left me here" he's sad, depressed... Depression has left him on earth to reflect on what he's done. He wants to go to heaven but he's afraid to cross over because he thinks he might go to hell. He's begging that he goes to heaven but at the end of the song he still stands on earth. He's left behind after the rapture. So he must not be going to heaven.

Something like that anyways.
