When I hear this song, I don't know if it's my desire for lyrics to mean something more than the old boy/girl relationship thing, but it seems to me that the "her" in this song could be that intangible thing "home" that is so important to our psyche. Or it could even refer to mother earth or the environment. But I'm not sure, I just like songs to mean something more than just "love and marriage" stuff.
