I don't understand why they pushed this song into The Goonies when the lyrics don't seem to have anything to do with it. I loved the movie, of course... and this song.
When I hear this song, I'm hearing a song about someone who finally realizes that expectations of life and their relationship aren't realistic. You just have to be happy with what you have because that's what you get. Everyone has this grand idea of what their future is going to be like, and it's just not reality. So what? Enjoy the ride.
