Okay Part3001, I will add my comment about this song. First let me say I am a Christian man. Most people would think something's wrong with me for listening to secular music. But I judge music on its aim, its meaning. I try not to be judgemental. I used to listen to Thin Lizzy before I got saved. So I don't have a problem listening now. I love this song! It touches me more than any other song on the album. The Holy War comes off as a very religious song. Not Christian, but very watchful of the good vs. evil spirits. Phil even mentions Jesus versus Satan in the song. The song is so direct about spirituall battles that I would almost call Phil Lynott a Christian. Of course I know he wasn't. He died a very sad heroin addict. It's people like him that I pray for. "And no one (but Jesus) will win this war, this is the way, this is the law".
