Hello 2019!
I think I finally cracked the puzzle.
This song is actually about two different men. Each loving the same woman but being in the opposite end of the same situation. One of the men is singing about a woman that left him because he “looked away” while the other one is singing about loving “another mans women”.
What made me come up with that theory is the chance is the way they sang each verse. When it was the first verse the man had a quieter almost sad sound while the second verse sounds like a confident loud man who’s making up his mind on continuing to see this woman who’s married.
The song is is basically laid out as
.chorus about the main male character blaming himself-> verse 1: his love and how she left him/her vow -> chorus-> verse 2: a man who loves a women that loves another man->chorus (sung by the main character)
It’s as if it’s one big continuous story with a snipit of another male character who seems to be in love with a married women. Or even the main characters main women
