This song was about the 1999 World Trade riots in Seattle, where the band was recording "13 Ways". It took on a new meaning in 2001 when the World Trade Center was attacked, and can be interpreted to be about that, though the song was released a year before the attacks.

It think when he says, "it's my world, my love, my gun," he's saying that in a way, he sort of gets a thrill from the chaos. "My gun" could be like how Disturbed says, "I'll use my music as a weapon!" Musicians use their music as a weapon against either oppression by authorities, government, bullies etc., or for battling their own personal demons, just like how people riot to fight against oppression, and he feels common ground with the rioters.

BTW Cold and Disturbed are two of the best and underrated band to come out of the 2000's. Cold just doesn't get enough recognition, and Disturbed gets too much hate from Classic Rock and Metal elitists, but both bands ROCK OUT LOUD!
