The meaning of what "crimson deep" is I think is different for everybody, which makes the song more personal. I think it's a general term for inner solace and finding what your purpose is, and a solution to that longing. Crimson deep, I think, is a reference to our blood and what "lies beneath" it (ie our truth, and the album name). Like what is beneath our veins.
