He has a unique voice, attitude, style, and outlook on life. He was a close disciple of the legendary Hondo Crouch (RIP), and carried on the tales of many Cowboy Poets.
It boggles my mind when I recall how many unique vocalists came out of that Austin, Texas music scene. Willie Nelson, Rusty Wier, Jerry Jeff Walker, Steven Fromholz, B.W. Stevenson, Guy Clark, Robert Earl Keen, and so many more. Each with a distinctive sound that we all tried to emulate, but could never truly duplicate.
