AT first blush, I can almost imagine it's about the archetypical Marilyn Monroe and the industry's exploitation of that archetype where "blonde" is just a metaphor for someone naive being sucked into the succubus of the entertainment industry only to be spat out into the sea.The water references are also a metaphor for the ocean of crap they've had to endure to ironically end up there anyway.
