Delicious Demon Lyrics

Björk

I believe Björk describes a drug session with some friends.

Another Vesion of this fantatic song is called "Organic Prankster"

Heeeeeeee how! He how! He how!

She gets high on some LSD, Ayuhasca or something else.

"Heeee how!" could be an emotional expression of the incredible feeling of diving into another realm.

The delay in "Heeee how!" expresses the delay that one may experience during his trip.

You can hear the power and enthusiasm in her voice and how long she stretches the "Heeeeee"

(getting high is a process that also doesn't come instantly and rises like her voice).

Einar One person calls someone To pour the water, Because it takes two to pour the water,

Björk To plough takes two as well, But only one to hold up the sky.

Einar To plough takes two as well, But only one to hold up the sky.

Now Einar describes the process of mixing the ingredients of the drug.

It takes to people to plough and pour "the water" - that means to prepare everything -

but it takes only one to "hold up the sky",

that means to experience this adventurous and enligthening trip!

Einar One plays the harp, beats a rock with a stick,

Björk One plays the harp, beats a rock with a stick, Becomes a priest at least, a delicious demon. Hee how!, hee how!, hee how!

Einar Least, a delicious demon.

In the past lines they describe how they experience peoples actions

during their drip. Someone in the group tryed to make music by beating

a rock with a stick and pantomiming playing a harp that he only heared in his fantasy.

Maybe the session was outside in the icelandic landscape.

Björk Delicious demon, delicious demon, Delicious demon, delicious demon,

Björk Two men need one money But one money needs no man, One is on ones knees, loses ones head, Except maybe a delicious demon, hee how!

Einar Two men need one money But one money needs no man,

Einar Two men need no money But one money needs no man One is on ones knees Looses one head Except maybe a Delicious demon

"Two men need one money, But one money needs no man." All this doesn't make much sense to me,

but I can imagine them being completely high and having a philosophical discussion about

capitalism and money. Like always when people are on drugs and have discussions like that,

the conclusions that are drawn and arguments that exchanged seem not to be very meaningful.

Björk Then one is no longer Then one is no longer Then one is no longer No longer!

Björk & einar Delicious demon Delicious demon Delicious, oh here he comes again waouh!

Maybe Björk felt how the effect of the drug decreased and took some more: "Here he comes again WAAAOOUUHH!". "He" is the "Delicious Demon", the drug itself or the demon, that is released by it in her mind.

Not by coincidence the band is called "The Sugarcubes", because LSD is somethimes trickled into sugar cubes.

Delicious demon Delicious demon! So delicious!
