This song is definitely political. I think the singer (Tim) represents the Ideas of the founding fathers of the United States as if they have manifested and have been watching the US throughout time.

"Need you to stop digging your hole and follow the path we light". Probably referring to the downward spiral the US is heading down versus the vision the founding fathers had.

"The more we organize we suck out this life, that serves as the fuel behind" I think this refers to our mining of oil which then fuels our wars and pollution.

"You want to take passion in my veins and put it down in black and white" Taking our freedoms (Found Fathers passion) and making laws (Black ink on white paper) that ultimately restrict them.

"How could something so right turn out so wrong" How could a country so great end up going down such a self destructive or violent path. Or something like that.

"One thousand good intentions lost" The US used to do good and honorable things and people didn't always hate us. But all those good things mean nothing anymore due to the destruction and bad we cause around the world.

"Translation Lost" Our constitution and the ideas our founding fathers had, clearly doesn't mean anything in our current time.

I think the rest of the lyrics are self explanitory if you look at the song like I do. I feel I'm pretty accurate. This song hits hard. While there are still opportunities out there the life i was promised growing up sure isn't the life I'm living.

Well thats what i get from this song. What do you guys think?
