To me though the meaning of song is deeper than simple masturbation. I believe it is also a bit of a rebuke to an ex, in the sense that they hurt the narrator but that doesn't matter because the narrator knows that they can be happier (in life and sexually) without them. In essence they can more a meaningful connection with masturbation than a sexual relationship with them.
