A woman in Hollywood (or anywhere for that matter) being forced to comply with male standards of beauty and talent in order to make it and be successful.

At many times being forced, as prison inmates being led by security guards to give a sexy performance, showing some skin and look the way the industry wants them to in front of dozens of cameras and with a white background trying to cover up where they really are and what it's really like behind screens.

Then, they come out to a beutiful and just place just like the one they enjoyed when they were little kids, after having faced and fought the people who had them held as hostages in this underground prison that, I assume, imitates what Hollywood feels like sometimes.

The whole take away of the song is that women in general, and women in Hollywood, DON'T have to fall in line with whatever is expected of them.
