I just heard this, but I am not satisfied with having my own interpretation. I like knowing what the artist may have intended. The writers Mark Anthony Myrie and Donovan Germain may have publicly commented, and perhaps the singer Buju has his own interpretation as well. Anybody know what the original writers or Buju thought when creating this work?
Also, I wish Google translate had "Jamaican" as a language so I could figure out every phrase in the song. Unless you are familiar with Jamaican, their words can be tricky to figure out at times. For example, is "beretter" a Beretta pistol or a Jamaican (wearing a classic Rasta beret)? Or, is it something else?
