And in Van Morrisons case, alcoholism. The phrase "I miss you so much when I'm singing my song" describes something he liked to do when he was singing...drink. Like to think it is about love lost and I can visualize that but in reality I think it is about a craving that he is trying to get under control. "Just have to wait for my soul to find comfort..." One could argue that addiction to love and alcohol has the same withdrawal symptoms. Love this song....
