Y'all being a little butthurt imo when interpreting this song but that's my opinion (don't get hurt by my opinion lol). But on the other hand -and this is very important, because i always stand by this- One thing i love about many musicians and artists is that they don't tell you what it means, so each individual listener can interpret it how they want to, and the music takes on personal meaning- and the song becomes much more than just a song, it takes on a life of it's own, with each individual person. That bring said, to me it reminds me of my love and me. He travels for work, sometimes gone for months in end, only coming back every other weekend (driving sometimes up to ten hours both ways), and to me, this song just reminds me of how dull my life is when he's not around. I do the same exact thing when he's gone as i do when he's around, but the difference is he's there. And let me tell you, that makes a world of difference. So, to me, it's about making sacrifice so he can continue his dream career, despite the negative effects on us both. The traveling won't last forever, but we will survive it, as we have time and time again. But that doesn't make the distance any easier. This song helps me express that feeling.
I'm not saying anyone is wrong or right. But tl;dr: this is a great song because of what it means to me. And it's greatly because of what it means to YOU. Either way, it's fucking great.
