Gilgamesh never attempted to be any kind of saviour of humanity. He wanted to become immortal. Not to mention Babylon didn't exist when Gilgamesh mythologically was around. There were no prophecies of Babylon for Gilgamesh to fulfill. Gilgamesh didn't suffer for anyone except for himself and for Enkidu (his best friend) and I guess his kingdom since he was a king. The only weird thing is the phrase "Honor the god of Enlil". Enlil WAS the chief deity of the Sumerian pantheon (and later a god in the Akkadian, Babylonian, Assyrian, and Hurrian pantheons). Enlil was, however, the god of wind/air (among other things), so it could be a sort of cross-thing between Sumerian mythology and Christianity, with Enlil being the Holy Ghost. That's just my theory though.
