It’s a really interesting song to me, as it’s so upbeat but has such dark lyrics. My general interpretation is that the song is about depression and thoughts of self-harm and suicide.
“I want to paint my drain with a little red stain tonight” sounds like he wants to cut and draw blood that goes down the faucet/shower drain.
He thinks of cutting his brain into hemispheres and smashing his face to get rid of the bad feelings. He wants the house to burn down with him inside so he doesn’t have to feel sad anymore.
“Rest my head just a little longer, I don’t care what time it is” - A common symptom of depression is feeling tired and not being able to get out of bed.
Falling asleep with the tv on could be something he finds comfort in. If the tv is on he has something to focus on, so he doesn’t have t be alone with his dark thoughts.
