Well I kinda agree with all these but I feel like this song isn't really about taking things slow. I feel like the guy who is singing is projecting all his pain about how his heart is breaking. He clearly loves this girl and is emotionally invested in the relationship but he knows that she does not feel the same way. Although it's obviously not specific she's either just playing with him and they both know it or maybe he told her how he feels and she rejected it or wants to take it slow or she just doesn't care and now he sees that she doesn't really want the same kind of relationship as he does. I feel like he's kind of conflicted because he knows it's not good for him but he wants to be with her at the same time.
'Your using me do it slowly make it last until I have to go' he's almost letting her as he knows that this will be the last chance of remotely being with her as after he says 'stay away from me' meaning that as hard as it is for him he can't stand the pain of the heartbreak and needs to stop seeing her.
You can also hear the build up during the song. At the start it's slow and low almost like he's telling her this but half heartedly because he still wants to be close to her and is giving in but during the song it becomes stronger and then he says it louder because his emotions are coming out and he keeps repeating it because it can only go on for so long. He's more sure of his need for her to stay away at the end and in the last line he's just defeated and tired of everything is just done with it.
