I Had A King Lyrics

I have returned to Joni Mitchell's music after being enraptured by it during the 70's. I now consider her a genius, a female strength (versus feminist), a Muse, and a rival of Dylan in songwriting, let alone her instrumentation, vocalization, and variety of musical genres. I am contemplating going through Joni Mitchell's songs and interpreting them like poems, separate from any sociological or biographical reference. That said, it is so ironic to me that the first song on her first album speaks so much about her first marriage and the independence offered to women at the time of its composition. It is almost a launching pad, announcing her escape from the past and journey into the future when she leaves "the grove." I'll add my analysis of the lyrics a bit later but just want to see if anyone else is still active in this area. Thanks.
