This is a beautiful song. I've been a fan of the GGD since the days of Jed and Hold Me Up and I believe its the finest of their almost three decade career (who'd a thunk it, that little ole Buffalo garage punk band are the last men standing!)
Its so beautiful because it tells a story of love and hope..of two people finding eachother in the autumn of their lives. And overcoming all the sadness and heartache of the past, to realize that theyve always been searching for eachother, since their souls were first ignited..They are 'starting again' by embracing their love of a lifetime with all their heart and soul.
This song is a high water mark for this great and enduring band and a testament to the transformative power of music..as it was my beloved who sent it to me across the ocean, she awakened my soul
