I'm not sure what the motive behind this song was. But I'd be lying if I didn't say it makes me cringe to hear any child telling her Father that longs to hug and kiss him and asks him to let her be his wife. I tried to give Fox Studios the benefit of the doubt since Shirley never claimed any of the Fox executives molested her. I can no longer watch any of their Shirley Temple movies in good conscience.
