She got famous thanks to the narrator, or at least she blames him for getting her famous. She can't handle it, so she does some crazy shit like shaving her head as a result.

Now, this song probably isn't McFly's best, but it's catchy as all hell & does a good job at telling a story, which is what you want from a song. I definitely like the Pop Punk version more than the original, since I think it fits the song & the time period the song came out in better as I've previously pointed out. It also has better production values. It's definitely a song that has more going on than a lot of the previous commenters are giving credit. It's not too serious, or too goofy. I think it works pretty well.
