"Don't want the sun to shine upon my face and I see your eyes in the glazy haze. You lips don't move but I hear what you say. I look outside though the razor blades."

He sees himself as a freak and he doesn't go outside to interact with people because he's afraid that people will judge him. He has people in his life that try to reach out to him but he's so insecure that he goes out of the way to avoid them because he feels that people are judging him, even though they don't say anything negative towards him. (Your lips don't move but I hear what you say) He looks outside through the razor blades, he sees the blinds on the windows as razor blades because he feels that he will get hurt if he tries to go outside, so he stays inside all the time like he's in a prison.

Kurt Cobain has his journals in the bookstores now and on the back cover it says, "Read and you will judge." That sums it up perfectly. Everyone judges people whether they want to or not, it's just a natural thiing to do, you can say that you're not judging them (the other person) but you really are, everyone does it. It seems like the narrator kind of knows that people are judging him and almost knows what they're thinking and has even convinced himself that they're all thinking that he's a "freak" and "what the hell is wrong with this guy?" and it makes him feel uneasy when he's around these people, even if he's completey wrong about what they're really thinking, in his head that's how it is.

Maybe I'm completey off base with what song really means but myself having social anxiety and Avoidant Personality Disorder, I could totally realate to this point of view.

Anyway take away from this song what you want.
