I often thought, Why can't I write a lovely, "Wake up, I want to make love tonight" song? I can't do that. I get embarrassed even saying it to you. But in our own way, Bob and I have written love songs. "Matchstick Men" was basically about my ex-wife. I'd just got married, and I thought, Oh, this is a mistake, what have I done?"
