Given the theme of Salvation (or life and death) on this album could this be about life after death??
Sounds like they have gone to hell (is this perhaps their salvation)??
Similarly I could see this being about a conversation with a loved one. Perhaps you have hurt them and trying to tell them it was a mistake by you, and that there is more to you than just that mistake. The mistake could be simply grown apart, or a new relationship and still learning about each other.
