Los Angeles Lyrics

I kind of think that this song is the aftermath of a strain or an estrangement between two lovers in a relationship ("You waited for me/When I was strong/You never called/You waited long"), and despite the estrangement, the singer knows that both people in the relationship still love each other ("You love me still/I love you, too"). He recalls a moment from the past in which the problems hadn't arisen, and longs to return to that moment in time ("So come with me/To that room by the sea/With a view of the moon and Los Angeles/You're beautiful back then/God, you're beautiful now"). He also references what possibly split them apart ("Yeah I was strong/I had no choice"), possibly meaning that he had more faith in the relationship than his partner had. So, in my eyes, it's a song about a singer expressing to get over a quandary with his lover, and his desire to return to the past, when the relationship was great and beautiful; thus, the "room by the sea/with a view of the moon and Los Angeles" represents their relationship at its peak. One of my favorites from "Wild Seed".
