I feel like this song is from the perspective of an introvert (with some amount of social anxiety) trying to fit into a society dominated by extroverts. There's a lot of lines about doing things against your will, most prominently "I have worked against my code, forcing my feet to align" - pretty strong image of trying to be something you are not and how impossible it is to achieve. Additionally, "I've collected every sight needed to calm my eye" strongly hints towards taking some quiet walks, something introverts usually like to do to calm down again after being exposed to a lot of social activities.
The later lines also fit that image pretty perfectly, "searching for confidence, watching the evidence in his fears" - as long as this person is scared in these situations, there's no way to have any kind of confidence in himself. Other people take it from things they can do good, but in this context only the lack of something can do it, again something very unique for this kind of issue.

Finally, the last line "He will never leave his solitude 'cause he will never leave his thoughts of you" seems to be about how this person constantly thinks about people judging them. He will never be able to stop that, so the only solution for him is to stay alone.

So in the end it's kind of being in a situation of losing that fight to fit in. There's a strong defeated vibe to it shown with lines like "I've been holding back the night, now I'm holding back the day". To me, this line is indicating that he previously used the nights to calm down after trying during daytime (school, work, whatever), but that he also is starting to stop trying in those situations.

Very personal interpretation and I might be completely off, but to me this fits perfectly.
