i grew up in jacksonville illinois! the second i heard nicols park i was like :O went there a lot as a kid, thats where the public swimming pool along with other park things are. and the wheel is probably refering to the ferris wheel at community park which is right on morton, the main street, and it does work. we went on this "walking tour" feild trip in middle school that took us through all of the historical houses and everything that they said were part of the underground railroad. lots of history in jacksonville but a pretty boring place to live
