This song was written long before ADHD or BiPolar were ever diagnosis so that's just some people WANTING it to be about their disorder. It was written about an abusive guy trying to "explain" rationalize why he is so often great and just as often abusive. BTW, there are quite a few of the lyrics that they don't have correct on this site! But as far as what the actual lyrics are about it is him trying to explain away why he has beaten her and why she should just let it go and stay with him. (NOT healthy for either of them! but that is what always happens!) Having grown up in a VERY abusive household I can tell you that it NEVER changes and that for either to ever be happy they must never be together and both need to figure out why they ever got into such a relationship.
(And it's not JUST the abusers fault. The "victim" has mental health issues too that have lead them to this situation!)
