She - The Death. This song is about The Death. Every time he sees the Death (someone dying) he gets higher... means probably that when he sees someone dying, he feels encouraged- he also wants to die... To see The Death starting a fire- burning someons body- is to see The Death just taking someone away...
¨There are some things worse than death¨ Peter says, that is why he don't afraid her, because there are worse things like not to be loved by your family and friends.
And I can perfectly hear the music form the song Bloody Kisses between the words: ¨Every time I see her start a fire I get higher¨. And Bloody Kisses is about the death. Everything fits... it is about the death, I am sure... and Peter finally gone away with her...and I can't really stand it...
@karolina10 I always noticed the "Bloody Kisses" riff in the middle section too. However, I'm not sure I agree with this analysis personally - from what I understand, it's a song about Peter's sister forcing him to go to rehab (as mentioned in one of the comments above), and his feelings of betrayal over that. It was clearly something he was working through a LOT of anger about, considering how common of a lyrical theme it was on this album - see also "Tripping a Blind Man", "Some Stupid Tomorrow", and "Hail and Farewell to Britain"....
