Perhaps one of the most poignant songs of her album, something I did not expect from Miley Cyrus. Many have cited this as a 'pansexual milestone', discussing loving one gender, being in love with another.
To me, this song's message is simple. It is about struggling with your emotions, balancing them with your sexual identity. On many levels, this is relatable to many individuals amongst this generation. I personally believe that this is an apology towards one of Miley's alleged ex's (Stella Maxwell?...), for not being able to give your entire self to another, because you still want to be with another person, and even though you are physically attracted, that in itself, is not enough to justify being with someone.
