After hearing this song numerous times.. I picked up on a few things.. in one instance I thought it may be sung as a duet between two quarrelling lovers. One of them is passive aggressive and making an excuse for giving the other the silent treatment.
Then another angle I picked up on was he's on the defensive for being at a loss for words on how he feels and pleading for words to "borrow" just to appease the lovers demands for words. Equip me with useless words (sarcasm) give me a bunch of words that still don't really express an iota of what I feel. Or Give me the damn words that tell u everything you want to hear just to appease the demands. I gotta figure out a way to Express myself about everything wordless.
