Ive been a rhcp fan a long time, i definately dont think he was talking about him relapsing or having fun with drugs when the song was made. I think its about him coming to terms with his abuse of cocain and accepting that he had fun on it and maybe even just liked doing it but realized it had to stop for the better of his health or career.
