I love this song, and really, the entire album "The Other Side" is great, too. I don't really know a lot of people who like Melissa Ferrick, and the people I know who have heard her music don't like it. Maybe it's just because I like her sound more (especially songs like this, with heavy, melancholy guitar), but I also think it's her voice. I personally like her voice, I can hear a lot of emotion in it, but it's also very unique. I love unique voices, but I think in general, people appreciate a unique voice when it's from a man and not a woman. Maybe I'm just grasping at straws here, but I can easily see how a lot of people would not like her voice because it's not really pretty, it's just unique.
