As I've posted before, I do really love this song (and most everything Pulp)...
If I ever run for elected office, which is a possibility these days, if I could get permission, I'd use this song at rallies, possibly along with Midnight Radio from Hedwig and the Angry Inch (again, if permission is possible) and use o/' I felt so ashamed / that I did it twice o/' as one of many campaign slogans... as you can imagine I wouldn't have an (R) after my name on the ballot... would I get your vote?
@gren - turns out permission is not needed for songs played at rallies (tho bands do have the right to ask you not to use it), just a fee to ASCAP or BMI is all that’s needed... music used for political ads on t’other hand does require permission.
