I think this is about just being a band and having people look up to you whether you like it or not. How fame kind of inflates you and takes on a life of its own.
Might not be exactly the same but it reminds me of "Misfit Love"
Saw these guys in Columbus Ohio with Royal Blood and it was an amazing show!
Hey, nice post and thoughts. I have to agree with your "this is about just being a band and having people look up to you whether you like it or not" take and wanted to add that perhaps Josh and crew are also suggesting that people need to do what makes them happy and don't waste your chance to do something that makes your life better - take a chance, don't waste your time and opportunities in life. Both your ideas and mine were made known by a very positive, happy Josh at the St. Paul...

Both your ideas and mine were made known by a very positive, happy Josh at the St. Paul (MN) concert on my birthday this Oct. He stated to our crowd how it's just an impressive, awesome gathering/event that how all parties QOSTA, Royal Blood and our sold out crowd in MN (&other recent tour spots) are all gathered here together for a positive reason and a positive goal which for some may be is to escape, or just have good, ol fun experience with one another and all enjoy each other's company for 4 hours. It may sound "lovey-dubby" but this was an out right amazing show. I've seen them 4 other times since OzFest '98 at their inception, including last tour and this was their best show, actually one of the best rock shows I've seen in years. I know this may sound corny but Josh being out right positive with his "tonight we are in this together" speech really set the tone for a mind blowing, high energy show all involved. My ears rang for a week after and it was well worth it. MN is lucky enough to have QOSTA come back again this December and I can not wait for my ears to blow again.
