As I become older in age, Reminiscing back on my life, the combination of these lyrics, the melody and the mood just scratches the surface of something within me that just stops time. As though trying to grasp and hold onto fog with bare hands, one can only stand and wait, as the song plays through.

"The window to your soul..." what a beautiful thought. Physical appearance has its limitations, but being able to discover another's soul as beautiful, now there's a beginning of a beautiful relationship.

I just love this song.

@jmjkim Yes I agree. This song I find is so evocative. The long slow intro (starts very softly too) sets the mood. It paints the picture of an eerie harbor dawn and then the story unfolds.Clearly a reflective song of perhaps love lost or regret but a yearning to go back there and relive that moment in time. There is that wondering of 'what may have blossomed", but it seems that perhaps it was curtailed never to be revisited. The musical arrangement obviously plays a big part and the tempo change at the end with the trumpets is...
