I confess that I am piggybacking on the interpretations of the previous comments before me. To me this dramatic but well thought out song that is Lydia by Highly Suspect seems to be about a man singing about a woman who loves him alot. However, the man seems to be maybe a bad boy type andor a little wild in how he lives yet also highly functional career wise, maybe even successful money wise (from one of the photo images to this song of what looks to be a military officer-a navy officer maybe). The woman who loves him somehow entered in his world but she has yet to learn to successfully swim in his world the same way, from his lyrics of swim and shark. To be fair it appears he does see the beauty in her (once again taken from one of the photos associated with the song) even as he admits to inflicting some challenges on to her and yet she still loves him (from the lyrics I tied you to the tracks). I'm aware that there is most likely more to this song, it is just that for whatever reason this song is catchy to listen to despite part of the song's meaning sounding like both a difficult but a strong love andor lustful connection that was made.
